| In keeping with our Anglican identity and with the mission of the Diocese of Olympia to 'become one people of God who proclaim boldly by word and action the reconciling Gospel of Jesus Christ', the purpose of the Diocesan School of Ministry and Theology is to further the formation, education, and ministry of all baptized people. | ||

The Diocesan School of Ministry and Theology began in l964 as the Huston School of Theology with 15 men meeting at St. Mark's Cathedral. Since that time, the School has grown, embracing a more diverse population within the Diocese and expanding the approach to ministry. In 2001 Dean Michael Wyatt accepted a call to the National Cathedral in Washington D.C., and we are currently in an interim period as a new Dean is sought. During this time we do not intend to change the focus of the Cycle of Studies, or of the Licensed Ministries training. We continue to affirm the direction of the School and support the five year goals which we articulated at our most recent retreat, in the spring of 2001. These goals (which follow) are intended to support and further the Diocesan growth initiative:
It is in this spirit that we commit ourselves to The School's continuing ministry in the Diocese and look forward to the years to come. The Diocesan School of Ministry and Theology has primary responsibility
for adult formation as part of the Faith Formation Commission of the
Diocese of Olympia. Board Members Two current DSOMAT students Staff Ms. Sue Tait, Co-Interim Dean The Rev. Mary Jane Francis, Interim Dean Ms.
