ExpectationsClasses are open to all adults. Although one need not be Episcopalian to attend, classes are taught from an Anglican viewpoint, and the assumption is that students wish to deepen their knowledge of the Episcopal ethos. Academic requirements and prerequisites are specified in the various courses as appropriate. Classes have an 8-person minimum and a 20-person maximum, unless otherwise stated. Expect reading and writing assignments, class projects and involvement in class discussions, as well as other special responsibilities in some classes.Location and Times - Cycle of Studies and Life-long LearningIn the 2006-07 academic year, the first year of the Cycle is offered
at the Diocesan Office located at 1551 Tenth Avenue E in Seattle. The
phone number is 206-325-4200 and can be called during the week for additional
driving directions. GradesEach successful completion of a course will be recorded as "Complete." To complete a course, a student must attend three of the four class sessions* and complete all required course work. If these requirements are not met, the result is recorded as "Incomplete." "Incompletes" must be resolved within 10 days of the last class session of the course for which the grade is given. After 10 days, "Incompletes" become "Did not Complete." Makeup work must be arranged with the instructor. Records of classes taken are kept at the School of Ministry and Theology office. *"Discerning and Using Our Spiritual Gifts" course requires attendance at all four classesBooksThe book list for your class will be mailed as soon as possible after the registration deadline.
