Richard A. Buhrer, M.Div., Loyola University of Chicago; Master of Nursing, University of Washington; B.S., Nursing, Oregon Health Sciences University; Nurse Practitioner Certification, Seattle Pacific University; B.A., Gonzaga University. Richard was a member of, and trained by, the Society of Jesus (Jesuits). He was received as a deacon in the Episcopal Church in 2002 and currently serves at St. Paul’s, Seattle. He works at Veterans Medical Center in Seattle, caring for patients with Multiple Sclerosis. Richard is the Convener of the Community of Deacons for the Diocese, has taught at Seattle Prep and Matteo Ricci College, Seattle, and is the author of many articles in journals of nursing.
