Faculty: Carla Robinson
Carla Robinson, M.Div., Concordia Seminary, St Louis, MO; B.A., Concordia College, Ann Arbor, MI 1980. In thirteen years of ordained ministry she has served as pastor of three Lutheran congregations in Los Angeles and the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, Seattle. During that time she has been preacher/guest speaker at youth gatherings, pastoral conferences, revivals, and other special occasions and liturgies. While in California she served at Christ University, Irvine as one of the school’s Visiting Church Professionals where she frequently addressed the fourth year Koiné Greek class on the topic of text study and translation as practical skills for preaching in the parish. Carla currently serves on the bishop’s staff as Administrative Assistant in the office of Ethnic Ministries and as Secretary for Vocations. In her capacity as the former, she visits and preaches at congregations throughout the Diocese of Olympia. She is member of the St Mark’s Cathedral parish, having been received into the Episcopal Church at the Easter Vigil in 2001.
