This class will provide an in-depth look at the church as depicted in Acts and the Epistles. We will explore the major theological themes that present themselves, the leadership and power struggles within the church called forth by different modes of evangelism, and note the similarity (or lack thereof) to the church today. There will be case studies in major issues in the contemporary church as they relate to the text. Lastly we will consider the relationship of the church and the world as it affected church life.
